RooneyCallingTheWorld.jpgRooney, the fresh-faced combo of LA kids who released a self-titled record of charming, if slight sunshine pop in 2003 before becoming “that band with the song at the beginning of ‘The O.C.,’ will return July 17th with their sophomore album ‘Calling the World.’ Words and phrases used to describe ‘World’ in the press release include “dynamic,” “retro-inspired,” and “showcasing the 60s pop influence for which the band is known,” while lead single “When Did Your Heart Go Missing?” is described as a “dance floor-ready head-bobber with an infectious chorus.”

Rooney are currently touring with Fergie, who calls the world Fergalicious.
