Blindness (Fernando Meirelles, 2008)

The Eye, Blink, Day of the Triffids, Blind Fury, the failed television experiment “Blind Justice” — films and programs with blindness or eye trouble as a theme are hit or miss. Maybe Fernando Meirelles can change that. Based on a 1995 novel by Portuguese author Jose Saramongo, Blindness‘ premise is truly chilling — what if everyone in your city suddenly went blind? Sight unseen, we’re declaring this one a winner. — Johnny Loftus
