Man, oh, man. Is it nice out, or what? It’s the kind of weather that makes you want to stop hibernating, crack a beer by noon, take a nap, wake up, and then head out at night to see an awesome show. Lucky for you, this weekend is chock full of ‘em — including Big Mess, Audra Kubat, and the Darrin James Band at the Belmont and Robyn Hitchcock & the Venus 3 (f/ Peter Buck from R.E.M., and of course, Robyn c from the amazing Soft Boys) at the Magic Bag on Friday, to Copper Thieves, Word Play and more at the Belmont on Saturday (not to mention Mean Mother’s CD release show at Small’s). With Azure Ray’s Maria Taylor and Whispertown 2000 set to bring things to a nice and gentle climax at the Pike Room on Sunday, before you know it, another weekend is over, and it seems like yes, thank God, spring is finally here. Unless, of course, it snows again — which will probably happen.
