As a Web-based publication that relies heavily on musical content, we can’t help but feel a little guilty when one of our printed brethren bites the dust. Not that it’s our fault or anything, but in an increasingly paperless world, it’s getting harder and harder to stay afloat on a raft made of loose leaf. So, with a heavy heart, we bid adieu to alt-country mainstay No Depression Magazine. After a 13-year run, they will continue their existence online, but, as we all know, sometimes nothing beats holding that glossy, bound square in your hand and leafing through it to read about your favorite bands. If we ever meet ‘em, they deserve a shot of whiskey on us.
